Therapy
The focus of my work is always on the relationships in our lives. That may be with others around us such as husbands, wives, partners, family, friends and colleagues and often most importantly, the relationship we have with ourselves as individuals.
Therapy allows us to not only discover who we truly are, but embrace that authentic version of ourselves for a more joyful, rich existence.
I work with both individuals and couples. The theme for so many of my clients is a negative, damaged and disconnected relationship with themselves. Through therapy we look to heal this through facilitating more self-awareness, self-acceptance and growth practices.
Couples therapy gives us the opportunity to witness our partner in a completely unique and vulnerable way, it intensifies emotional bonds, and allows us to deep dive into ourselves, our ways of relating and our patterns of behaviour that may be getting in the way. We look at what might be causing unhelpful conflict or acting as a stumbling block to a truly connected, loving, thriving relationship.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Carl Rogers
